The pules of life
Collaboration exhibition with Ninna-ji Temple
A maiden of fifteen, graced upon this earth with a grievous ailment, has braved the throes of her affliction from birth. In her valiant struggle, she has been enveloped in the tender embrace of humanity's love, a shining beacon guiding her through life's challenges. However, in humans, both good and evil coexist relatively. Time and again, she is engulfed in the whirlpool of human desires. Illness is more than just a battle against the body, mind, and time; it's the balance between human goodness and wickedness that dictates her life's course. While she continues to fight the disease, her soul is made of human love.At the tender age of eight, she began to convey to the world, through her art, that the most precious things on earth are "life" and "love." She still advocates for their importance today. In this exhibition, the over 1,200-year-old prayers from the World Heritage Ninna-ji Temple meld with the wishes of a contemporary young girl, composing a concerto of love that transcends time. Within the emotions and spaces crafted over a thousand years of history, we, alongsideher, approach the true essence of people's love.
